What We Believe

We believe in the Triune God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Specifically, we believe that Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God. Through His sinless life, perfect teaching, and atoning death on our behalf, we are shown how to be right and live right before God.

We believe that the Bible is the perfect Word of God. God didn't have to speak to us, but He did. He intended for that Word to be clear and instructive, and it is. We seek to derive our actions, our attitudes, and our objectives from His good and perfectly truthful Word.

We believe that the gospel is the only way of God. The gospel helps us not only in the afterlife, but in this present life. The gospel describes two equally important realities: 1) The fact that Jesus is the only way to God and 2) That as we travel along that way, we should engage our world in the same gracious manner as our Lord did.

We believe that the church is the people of God. Church is not some optional add-on or a luxury item. God intended for His children to associate together for fellowship and gospel work. It is both inconsistent and unwise for a believer to intentionally avoid the protection, partnership, and power that comes from gathering with God's people. After all, it is in the gathered church that we best display the glorious mystery of Christ.
