brad weldy
LEAD Pastor
Pastor Brad transitioned into his current role in 2020 after serving as Associate Pastor since 2012. He met the beautiful Lindsay Claire Thompson while teaching a Bible study in 2001—she just walked right in. Their friendship developed into something a wee bit more significant, and, voilà, they now have 5 lively children (Shep, Annie, Colt, Tate and Georgia Kate). Pastor Brad is a perpetual student—just ask his understanding wife (sigh)—who desires to see church members embrace the need for engaging both hearts and minds. He also enjoys cycling (road) and mountain biking whenever time permits. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL (English); his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC; and his Doctor of Philosophy in Apologetics from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jeremy Benge
Pastor of Children's Ministry
Jeremy has been serving as Pastor of Children's Ministry since the summer of of 2010. Jeremy has served in a variety of roles since coming to Louisville as a college student. Cedar Creek has provided a happy home for this Detroit native - he attended, served, and even met his wife here. Jeremy is married to Michelle and shares life with his children Maddox, Lilly, Addison, Ella and Knox. Jeremy is creative, high energy, and has a passion to communicate the truths of the Gospel in a relevant fashion to kids. We're so grateful God has sent Jeremy and Michelle to Cedar Creek and that they've added their many talents and energies to the ministry here!
NOAH FIELDS
Minister of Worship
Noah began his role as Minister of Worship at Cedar Creek in 2021. Previously, he had attended and served at Cedar Creek for nearly two years. Noah initially came to Louisville to study at Boyce in the Worship and Pastoral program. Through the lovely people of Cedar Creek, God has graciously allowed Noah to begin serving in the capacity he had been preparing for in his studies. Noah's desire for Cedar Creek is that we would cultivate lifestyles of Christ-centered worship through the regular rehearsal of the gospel.
ALEXAS WORTH
Preschool coordinator
Alexas has been a member at Cedar Creek since the fall of 2012. She and her husband Cody are high school sweethearts who have two beautiful and energetic children, Apollos and Eleanor. She enjoys baking, drinking coffee, and spending time with her husband, kids, friends and family. She is excited to be in this ministry role to love and care for the children and families at Cedar Creek.
Angela Wieland
Ministry Assistant
Angela Wieland has been serving as Cedar Creek's Ministry Assistant since March 2011. Having been a faithfully serving member for years, she was eager for the opportunity to serve the CCBC family and staff in this special way. Angela is responsible for managing the church calendar, facilitating prayer and email communications, updating the website and social media accounts, and greeting visitors weekly on campus. She also produces most of our printed materials such as the weekly newsletter and Sunday bulletin, and also serves as the church's bookkeeper. Angela and her husband, Andrew, served faithfully in our Children's Ministry for years... which was good preparation for their first child's arrival in 2011! In 2016 and 2022 they welcomed their second and third daughters. We are grateful for Angela's hard work, love for the church, and her ability to keep the boys in the office flying straight!
