Our "Fellowship and Care" provide opportunities for quality Bible study, opportunities to connect with others, and a meaningful group of friends to provide care for each other.
Studies show that people who join a church's small group ministry are 78% more likely to be around after a year ... which means that if you don't join a group that there is only a 22% chance that you will be around after a year.
Why is this? Simply because God has designed us for community! Recognizing this, our "Fellowship and Care" groups seek to accomplish this goal.
The teaching involved in these groups utilize two different methods:
- Sunday School: This is a more traditional age-graded structure. People are organized into "classes" with a focus on a particular lesson for the day found in a "quarterly" booklet. This grouping structure utilizes a denominationally supplied teaching curriculum and has limits on class size.
- Bible Fellowship Groups: These groups are more progressive in terms of curriculum and age-grading. Instead of using outside materials, these groups utilize the preaching of the Bible in our church to regulate their teaching. Because these groups utilize the sermon, these classes are designed to be much more interactive. In addition, they are not as strict about age-grading. In all other aspects, Sunday School classes and BFG's are very similar.
