He was professor and academic dean at the Jakarta Baptist Theological Seminary and has also served as a professor at the Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary. He was associate professor of religion at North Greenville College before joining the faculty of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as Professor of Christian Missions and World Religions. Dr. Martin has been a member at Cedar Creek for many years. He has a B.S. from Florida State and an M.Div. and Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has done additional studies at Asbury Theological Seminary.

  • brad weldy

Pastor of Administration & Adult Family Ministry

Brad grew up in North Carolina and Florida. His floundering teen years focused on soccer and status, and he even had a prolonged interest in some-things political before his heart was truly captured for all-things Christ. He met the beautiful Lindsay Claire Thompson while teaching a Bible study in 2001—she just walked right in. Their friendship developed into something a wee bit more significant, and, voilà, they now have 5 lively children (Shep, Annie, Colt, Tate and Georgia Kate). Pastor Brad is a perpetual student—just ask his understanding wife (sigh)—who desires to see church members embrace the need for engaging both hearts and minds. His main areas of interest include discipleship, apologetics, and philosophy of religion. The latter two of which he gets the privilege to teach at Boyce College (as an adjunct professor). He also enjoys cycling (road) and mountain biking whenever time permits. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL (English); his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC; and his Doctor of Philosophy in Apologetics from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Jeremy Benge

    Pastor of Children's Ministry

Jeremy has been serving as our Director of Children's Ministry since the summer of of 2010. Jeremy has served in a variety of roles since coming to Louisville as a college student. Cedar Creek has provided a happy home for this Detroit native - he attended, served, and even met his wife here. Jeremy is married to Michelle and shares life with his son Maddox and his two daughters Lilly and Addison. Jeremy is creative, high energy, and has a passion to communicate the truths of the Gospel in a relevant fashion to kids. We're so grateful God has sent Jeremy and Michelle to Cedar Creek and that they've added their many talents and energies to the ministry here!

  • ZACH CARTER

Minister of STUDENTS & FAMILY MINISTRY

Zach joined the Cedar Creek Family in February 2016. He has enjoyed many years serving in various capacities in student ministry and has a passion for helping students feel connected to one another through their mutual affection and admiration of Christ. Having received a BA from Leavell College of NOBTS, he is pursuing his MDiv at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His primary interest is how the Old and New Testaments shapes our relationship with God and our neighbors. Zach and his wife, Morgan, are natives of North Alabama and are fans of Auburn football. (War Eagle!)  Far better than Zach in all she does, Morgan works as a graphic designer in the Communications Department at Southern. Zach would love to get to know you and hear your story.

  • Josh Reed

    Director of Music Ministry

Josh grew up in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. After completing his Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education from Kutztown Pennsylvania in 2012, Josh had a change of direction and vision from being a music educator to a full-time minister of the gospel. This past year Josh worked as an intern at Camp Calvary, where he ministered alongside the camp staff to over 3,500 students a summer. Additionally, he traveled to various schools and churches to preach the gospel, as well as promote the camp. Recently in the Fall of 2014, Josh moved to Louisville to pursue his Master’s of Divinity with a concentration in Worship Leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is involved with a traveling vocal ministry called Doxology and is excited to use the gifts God has given him to minister in that particular way. Josh is thankful and thrilled to be the new Worship Ministry Director at Cedar Creek. He hopes that he can be an encouragement to the people of Cedar Creek and point them to Christ in everything that he does. His desire is to biblically worship the Lord with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to lead His Church to do the same.

  • Angela Wieland

Ministry Assistant & Director of Preschool MINISTRY

Angela Wieland has been serving as Cedar Creek's Ministry Assistant since March 2011. Having been a faithfully serving member for years, she was eager for the opportunity to serve the CCBC family and staff in this special way. She and her husband, Andrew, served faithfully in our Children's Ministry for years ... which was good preparation for Haley Elizabeth's arrival in 2011! We are grateful for Angela's hard work, love for the church, and her ability to keep the boys in the office flying straight!

  • Jordan STEFfaniak

    Pastoral assistant

Jordan grew up in the Midwest, mostly around the St.Louis area. As such, he is an avid Cardinals and Blues fan and is in deep despair over the rise of the Cubs. Jordan left the Midwest to complete his B.A. in Pastoral Leadership and Biblical Exposition at Liberty University (2012) before moving to Louisville to complete his M.Div. at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2016). Jordan first came to Cedar Creek in the Fall of 2013 and quickly became a member after falling in love with the members at the church. Jordan, like most seminary graduates, loves to read, especially philosophical theology thanks to Brad! He also loves to weightlift at a local CrossFit gym and crush softballs in the church slow-pitch league. He currently works full-time at a local mortgage company. Jordan was married to his beautiful wife, Sarah, in 2015. Sarah graduated from Liberty University as well, with a B.A. in Elementary Education but is from the heartland of Kentucky near Lexington. She has a love for photography, traveling, making lists, and Trader Joe's greeting cards. She currently works for Norton Healthcare.
